Vagal HRV

Summary

Vagal HRV is developed by AK BioSystems. Your data stays on your own device. The app does not require an account, does not use AK BioSystems servers, does not display ads and does not use third-party analytics or tracking.

1. What data the app handles

When used with a compatible heart rate sensor, the app reads and processes data locally on your device, including heart rate, RR intervals, HRV metrics such as RMSSD and SDNN, session summaries, body position, optional context tags, breathing or coherence sessions, and app preferences such as language and reminder settings.

2. Where data is stored

Data is stored only in the local storage of your device. Vagal HRV does not send your session data to AK BioSystems servers or to third-party servers and does not require login or account creation.

3. Sharing

AK BioSystems does not sell, rent or share your data. The only way your data leaves the app is when you choose to export or share a file, such as CSV data, a PDF summary, a result card or a backup, using your device's sharing options.

4. Permissions

• Bluetooth: used to find and connect to compatible heart rate sensors.
• Location on older Android versions: may be requested by the operating system for Bluetooth scanning. The app does not use location tracking.
• Notifications: used only for optional reminders and connection status messages.
• Foreground service: helps keep a measurement session stable while it is running.

5. Ads and analytics

Vagal HRV does not display ads and does not use third-party analytics or tracking tools.

6. Retention and deletion

Because the data stays on your device, you control it. You can remove saved records in the app when this option is available, and uninstalling the app removes its local data from the device according to the operating system behavior.

7. Children

Vagal HRV is intended for a general wellness audience and is not directed to children.

8. Intended use

Vagal HRV is intended for wellness, sports, education, breathing practice and personal self-monitoring. It provides personal wellness information only and is not intended for emergencies, alarms, professional decisions or safety-critical use.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
